Quality Assurance Analyst
💻 About the Role
We’re looking for a talented QA analyst to join our growing NYC based app design & development agency. You’ll work with our product and engineering team to test common workflows, create tickets, and improve QA processes. This is a hybrid role that will require you to be in office 3 days a week.
You’ll be a key part of the team to identify issues using both expected and unexpected user behaviors as well as conducting exploratory testing and reviewing predefined test cases.
🦖 Responsibilities
- Work closely with Product, Dev and Design to confirm acceptance criteria/requirements and establish clear pass/fail criteria
- Gain an in-depth understanding of functional aspects of the product functionality to perform testing.
- Triage and assign tickets for the Engineering Team in alignment with current QA strategy;
- Create and maintain testing-related documentation, such as test cases, and test results
- Manage testing life cycle; product performance, regression, and/or acceptance testing.
- Monitor tickets and evaluate quality for contact support responses
- Champion product quality by performing risk assessments and retests software corrections to ensure appropriate corrective action is taken to maintain quality standards
- Continuously evaluate the software development life cycle and QA processes to identify areas to improve as a team and organization
- Be a Key player for internal teams and clients; attending meetings, taking data driven decisions and supporting action plans
🔑 What We’re Looking For
- You have basic knowledge of mobile and web apps
- You can facilitate clear, productive, and empathetic communication
- You can support customer experience issues in a high-volume environment
- You have Excel/Google Sheets knowledge
✨ Bonus Qualifications
- Familiarity with automation testing
- Familiarity with Jira
- Ability to work independently and productively in a fast paced environment
